1K MINTED ENGELHARD 1977 Dated 1oz Silver Round Made for Stevcowovens Stevcoknit
 
Up for sale, we have one (1) vintage .999 fine silver round produced by Engelhard in 1977 for Stevco [Stevcowovens/Stevcoknit]. The Stevcoknit trademark was filed for registration by Stevcoknit Textile Company in November, 1961, to be used for Knitted Textile Fabrics Made of Cotton, Wool and Synthetic Fibers. The company was incorporated in April, 1971, and innovated high quality and technologically advanced fabrics. SEC records indicate Delta Woodside Industries acquired Stevcoknit Fabrics Company, of North Carolina, in 1986 and closed operations in 1998 due to losses incurred from outdated textile equipment.
 
This round is the third of a four year series of rounds that Engelhard produced for Stevcowovens. This round was limited to a mintage of less than 1,000 according to AllEngelhard.com making it a piece that is becoming increasingly difficult to come by. The item pictured is an item in similar condition to the round you will receive. Due to its age, the item you will receive may exhibit some imperfections such as discoloration/toning, scratches/smudges, and other imperfections.
