For this listing, you will receive one (1) Metal Arts 10oz MTB Liberty Trade Silver Bar, which is a vintage piece produced in the 1980's. While advanced collectors are familiar with the well documented Johnson Matthey & Engelhard variations of the MTB Liberty Trade 10oz bar thanks to our friends at AllEngelhard.com, few are aware that the earliest MTB Liberty Trade bars that were ever produced were, in fact, produced by Metal Arts. Engelhard is known for producing the latest variety of MTB Liberty Trade bars and rounds (1985-1986) while Johnson Matthey produced much of the products from 1982-1985. Based on our research and assessment of serial number ranges, it appears that the lowest serial number assignments for MTB Liberty Trade silver bar products belong to the Metal Arts production house, which can be clearly identified by the MA privy mark. It is unclear what the exact mintage is of these bars, but we believe there to be very few surviving examples in existence. This unique bar features lady liberty on the obverse and the repeating diagonal MTB logo on the reverse along with the purity and weight. The bar you will receive will come with its own unique serial number and may or may not be the serial number pictured. The bar you will receive is decades old and will contain its own unique imperfections such as scratches/smudges/spots, toning/discoloration, and other blemishes, but they have been tested for purity and weight. This is a great opportunity for any beginner or advanced vintage silver stacker who is looking to add an extremely rare and difficult to obtain piece of MTB Liberty history to their collection.
