RARE VINTAGE Baker Dental ENGELHARD INDUSTRIES Box w/ 10x 7/8" Separating Discs
 
Up for sale, we have an extremely rare opportunity for one lucky diehard Engelhard collector! For those unfamiliar, Engelhard Corporation was an American Fortune 500 company headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey, United States. It was credited with developing the first production catalytic converter. In 2006, the German chemical manufacturer BASF bought Engelhard for $5 billion USD. Engelhard is widely known for producing some of the most highly sought after collectible now-vintage bullion products. Their non-bullion products are equally sought after.
 
In addition to Engelhard's bullion products, we are big collectors of other unique Engelhard products such Baker Dental products produced for Engelhard Industries. While Engelhard/Baker dental aristaloy pellets and powders come up for sale on the secondary market from time to time, rarely is there an opportunity available to purchase other Engelhard/Baker Dental products. One of those such products is this original partially filled box of Engelhard Baker Dental 7/8" separating discs.
 
The original cardboard box is in rough shape. The outer paper label is peeling from the cardboard box and there are multiple tears, bends, rips, and discoloration on various sections of the top and bottom of the box. The separating discs within the box are in relatively good condition, but are very fragile and prone to cracking. There are two varieties of the 7/8" separating disc that we are aware of. We have included five (5) of each type of separating disc with this lot. The first variety contains near-identical surfaces on both sides of the disc. This surface has a smooth texture but a look similar to shiny sandpaper. The second variety of the 7/8" separating disc that we are aware of is dual-sided. One side has the same sandpaper-like look while the other side has a smoother gradient with no shiny sandpaper-like granules. The items (ten separating discs and empty cardboard box) will be securely packed and preserved in their current condition as much as possible to prevent any further damage during the shipping process. Please keep in mind that this is a one of a kind item that is decades old and it is being sold as is with no returns accepted. Multiple photos have been taken from multiple angles, so please closely inspect photos of the exact items you will receive before placing your order. The box comes pre-filled with only the ten (10) 7/8" separating discs that are pictured -- the box does not come with all original 100x separating discs as stated on the box.
