For the 1st series Australian bar, the detail is not as refined as the later 2nd and 3rd series bars. A keen eye will note the letter “G” matches that of 2nd series. The frosted reverse demonstrates two full hallmarks in an ascending diagonal pattern, which are a common characteristic of these Australian examples.
 
The 2nd Series Australian bar included in this lot has a more reflective obverse surface finish. The letter “G” matches that of the 1st series and that the stamping detail is more crisp. The matte finish reverse demonstrates two full hallmarks in an ascending diagonal pattern.
 
Finally, the 3rd series Australian bar included in this lot demonstrates a proof-like obverse surface finish. It is the most fully-refined of all variety and a keen eye will note the letter “G” is unique as it does not match that of the earlier bars. The frosted reverse demonstrates two full hallmarks in an ascending diagonal pattern.
